Medical Counselling and Coaching
Dr Coxon, Karina and Kasey all provide coaching and counselling for doctors and medical students so there should always be an availability for your career needs! Dr Coxon has been providing career counselling for doctors and medical students for years and uses a range of coaching and counselling techniques and psychometric assessments within the consultation process. Karina and Brooke have extensive experience in career development and have received bespoke training on the medical industry so are well equipped to work with doctors and medical students. Karina and Brooke have a range of psychometric tools, assessments, techniques that are used within their consultations.
Once an appointment has been booked with the practitioner you will be contacted with any pre-appointment requirements.
Individual and 3 package sessions are available. 3 package sessions are recommended for people seeking more than general advice, and specifically for those considering complete career transition, leaving medicine, changing specialties or transitioning into the non clinical fields.

Advanced Package (3 Sessions)

- 3 x 45 minute individually tailored career counselling sessions (RRP $699)
- MBTI Psychometric assessments and reports (RRP $99)
- Access to online courses assisted to guide you through your career decision. Courses include Discovery (RRP $139), Medical Specialty pathways (RRP $39), Non clinical medical careers (RRP $99), GP with special interests (RRP $39) and Personality Types and medical careers (RRP $99)
- Total value of $1213 for only $739 (inc GST)
Follow Up Session (Single session)
- Includes: 60 minutes consultation
- Available to clients who have worked with a MCP coach previously
Follow Up 3 Sessions Package
- Includes: Three 45 minutes consultations
- These can be spaced over weeks, or months, depending on your needs (Eg Accountability sessions, Professional Development Plan, Return to Work planning, or general coaching etc)
- Available to clients who have worked with a MCP coach previously

Allied Health counselling and coaching

Karina is a career development practitioner and occupational therapist and provides specific allied health counselling and coaching. These sessions are tailored to the individual but can cover career choice, career indecision, non clinical career choice, interview preparation, CV advice and general career queries.
Individual Session
- Includes: 75 minutes and includes psychometric assessments and reports
Package (3 Sessions)
- Includes: 3 x 45 minutes appointment, psychometric assessments and reports
Medical students information sessions
(For medical students interested in what medical career to pursue AND for students wishing to apply to medical school)
This 60 minute 'pow wow' session will provide you with the much needed information you require about your medical career.
If you are considering medical school, this session will cover the ins and outs of applications to medical school, what medical school is like, and importantly, what life as a doctor is like.
If you are already a medical student and wish to know more about what medical specialties you should consider then this option is for you!
You can speak with Ashe, Karina or Kasey, 2 and we will answer all the questions you have! If we don't know the answers, we promise to find out!

- Includes: 60 minute session and access to the 'Medical Specialty' course and 'GP with Special interest' course. (RRP $262 but student discount for $199)
Preparing for Medical School Applications Online course
- This self paced online course will cover information about Australian medical school applications, as well as interview prep videos, tips and techniques for preparing you for the interview!
Interview Preparation
(Individual appointments and packages available)
An interview preparation session with Medical Career Planning will boost your preparation for consultant, fellowship and specialty training program interviews where you will explore interview frameworks, techniques, pitfalls to avoid, common and uncommon questions.
Individual appointments are available but it is strongly recommended to complete a 3 appointment package.
* Please note when booking the 3 session package that the price includes 3 appointments. Only book the first appointment and at the end of the first session our coaches will organise the best time for session 2 and 3. Digital health career advisory consultation
Individual appointments
In the consultation with Dr Hansra she will discuss the digital health industry, opportunities for doctors in this field, upskilling required and courses and qualifications required. Dr Hansra will tailor the consultation to your needs, which may include general advice or a specific question.

Medico-legal career advisory consultation
Individual appointments
In the consultation with Dr Tan she will discuss the medico-legal industry, opportunities for doctors in this field, what a 'medico-legal doctor; really does. She is also happy to discuss opportunities in clinical governance as this evolves in the aged care and disability sectors.
